Still no upstairs lights so a bit gloomy for making collages. I tried but it was making me squint! Hopefully all back to normal tomorrow. As normal as it gets round here!

I don't thin k the house likes being left alone - the same thing happened last time we went away. they traced the fault to some touching wires under the floorboards! Not sure what the problem is. When it rains alot I keep thinking it might be a drip coming through the roof and shorting out something but then the whole sytsem would shut off ( we have one of those trip switchy thingies) so Its a bit of a mystery. The electrickery man should be here this morning so hopefully he can locate the fault fairly quickly.
Everything hunky-dory now. The electricina said it was just a blown bulb which blew a fuse. He's replaced it with a fuse that has a cut-out switch on it so hopefully no further problems. Nice to have some light upstairs at last.
