Degas Vu

Beach Blanket Bushido

I tried to get this one finished for the beach theme but it didn't happen. Thanks for the open theme. It's like the Island of Misfit Toys for collage.

He never talked that much about it...

Planned Chaos

Time Travel

Open Theme

I've decided that once a month, I'll post an open theme which means there is no theme. Feel free to show new collages, experiments, works in progress, mail art, etc. Anything goes as long as it is new work. If you really want to challenge yourself, see if you can make a collage a day during the open theme. They don't have to be complicated works. The main goal of these open themes is just to make work.

Transplant

The Plant

This is influenced by Michael's Flower Mill and also a little story. When my niece, who was then around 9 years old, was visiting Houston several years ago with my sister-inlaw, she heard us talking about the oil refineries. We kept referring to them as the plants and how big they were, stretching for miles along the highway. As we drove past them, she had a strange look on her face. Turns out she had thought we were talking about massive, prehistoric size plants. Needless to say, she was sorely disappointed.

Pamela makes a wondrous discovery and is so glad she remembered to bring her camera.

Beau Tannical, in the guise of his alter ego Robin Hood Ornament, keeps seedy characters in line with his trusty peashooter.
