No Cutting in Line...

... Unless you are trimming collage elements, of course!

Manners: Sometimes they're good and sometimes bad. Show us yours.

In time, the reasons became painfully clear.

Barbara Levine

Let me be the first to welcome my friend and newest Scrapiteria member, Barbara Levine. We met a few years ago via the vernacular photography world. She is also an amazing collagist. I am thrilled that she is joining our little group!

Barbara Levine is a curator, collector and artist. She runs Project b, a curatorial services and project management company, and is a distinguished collector of antique dexterity puzzles and vintage photograph albums. She was formerly Director of Exhibitions at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Deputy Director of the Contemporary Jewish Museum. She is the author of Snapshot Chronicles: Inventing the American Photo Album (Princeton Architectural Press, 2005) and the upcoming (Fall 2007) Around The World: The Grand Tour in Photo Albums. Her website, http://www.projectb.com/ is an artistic and intellectual destination: a world of objects, artifacts, art, ideas and obsessions. She lives in Mexico and is an avid maker of collage and assemblage inspired by Fluxus, Max Ernst, Joseph Cornell and all things surreal.

Time Flies

Made this one earlier this year.

Time to get UP...

Up! wake up...

Icarus: Time flies, you cannot.

Hope I have not posted this one before.

Airborne Scraps

Since the A/C blows directly across my desk, I had to weight down pieces so they wouldn't drift away like tumbleweed. Luckily we only need to run it a few nights per year here in New England!

Night Owls

Race Against Time

Burden of Time

The title of this collage in French is "Au Fil des Jours" (any suggestions for a valid English translation)...Merci!
