You definitely summed up the family trip. Great collage!

I can't imagine the huge distances involved when driving in America. Here we get fidgity after 50 miles ! Thats probably the distance from your house to the garage to fill up before you set off! So it wouldn't just be the kids saying that, it would be ME!

wonderful-I went on a road trip like that years ago with Mrs N's small nephews and neices im Minnesota (all grown with families now too-it was just like this except I was doing most of the pinching and biting.)

I thin saw National Lampoons Summer Vacation (?) with Chevy Chase-so well observed. Classic stuff Scraps-I love it

Thanks d'chef!

Michael, it's easy to travel when there are things to look at out the window, but when it's nothing but cow pastures, it gets old real quick!

Arty, Vacation is a very funny movie! I forget that your wife is from the US. It's not easy being confined in a car with a bunch of people for long distances, especially when there are kids involved! I don't know how my parents put up with us. We were constantly bickering in the backseat. Kids have it good today with portable DVD players and handheld games.
