I had been looking everywhere for an image of a policeman and was about to chuck in the towel for this week when this image of Charley Chaplin suddenly rose to the surface.
I like to "distress" my images before I use them so I often fold them up and crush them before using them. It was pouring with rain so I thought I would get it muddy as well to get my "grime" so I put him out in the garden and walked over the poor chap a few times...then I just stuck him on a piece of wood in my studio. Tough work this collage business...
