Fast Women and Fast Food Will Be the Death of Me

One could say that I am prone to two kinds of heart trouble: the breaking kind and the attacking kind. The former usually comes with the latter. Against my better judgment, I find myself drawn to a certain type of woman who plays fast and easy with her virtue and my arteries. I know I should be ashamed of my conduct in the drive-thru lane—all the countless "quickies" between sales calls, but alas, I am a man who cannot control his appetites be it for a filly or a filet-o-fish.

  1. Nice work! Is this you or the guy in the collage speaking, or both?

  2. This is the guy in the story speaking. I just like writing stories about guys who are fools for bad relationships. I favor my wife and don't eat at fast food places (though I do love all kinds of small dive restaurants). I lost my taste for fast food hamburgers more than a decade ago after reading an exposé in Granta titled, Anatomy of a Hamburger. Between the antibiotics, growth hormone and offal going into commercial hamburgers, I figured I was better off just not eating them. Yesterday, I rode my bicycle to a nearby McDonald's and pulled a bag out of the trash can for the background.

  3. Fabulous, as always! Great use of garbage for the background.

  4. I really love this one but it reminds me of my gastro challenges a little too much. Ugh!

  5. I agree. Fast food is really foul and no good for the planet and people. I couldn't bear to watch parts of the film "Fast Food Nation".
