New Member - Vivienne Strauss
Let us welcome our newest member and my friend, Vivienne Strauss, to Scrapiteria!
Melba Had Never Felt so Underdressed or Under-garnished, No One Had Told Her it Was Going to be a Ritz-y Affair
I've been doing various forms of collage for over 10 years and am in a constant state of finding my collage "style". I've been inspired by the Dada artists, Ray Johnson, and a lot of people on Flickr including Angelica Paez, Michelle Lanter, Crafty Dogma, Eopna Art and many others. I've recently enjoyed working with vintage camera images and finding "life" in inanimate objects. This collage is not typical for me but as soon as I saw the theme of using scraps it freed my mind to do something different and extra silly.
Theme of the Week - SCRAPS part 2
Since there are still lots of great things to be traded, I thought I would extend this theme until next Thursday. You can also make SCRAP trading cards, if you want! Thought that might be fun...

Shoemaker
For Michael.
I realize that I didn't post any rules on how to trade. Just post in the comments of the person whose work you want. I guess the only rule is to have something posted for them to pick from.
I sat down this morning and made 5 scrap postcards. I did trim the scraps when necessary to fit the collage, and even though some may be cut neatly, all the pieces (except for the postcard backing) came from my many scrap bins.
