I wasnt sure if my joke would travel-like Danny Kaye another comedian that has passed you by except in this case even I don't find him funny in the same way that Jerry Lewis rarely made me laugh-too much face pulling contorting and falling over. Nevertheless he is a British institution and I think he is in his late eighties now. For some reason he is a national hero in either Albania or Rumania as his movies were safe enough to play there under totalitarian regimes as they were very tame and essentially the theme was the little guy lost in the world getting back at it while remaining totally guileless and unaware . Anyway-I think he would ghave been great in the Anthony Perkins role-would have elevated the movie to a different level-mind you he would probably have stabbed himself in the shower fallen over and Janet Leigh would have unaccounatably fallen in love with him. They would end up in bed together but would not have sex as he would have fallen asleep/ hit his head on the side of the bed or put his back out.
