Voices in her head

I watched a lot of scary movies about mental illness in my childhood, Sybil, The Three Faces of Eve, The One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and for years I worried that I might be crazy....

This is the best! One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (with it's weird theremin music) left a very strong impression on me and Sybil just freaked me out.

thank you ALL! Ironically, I was allowed to watch those scary movies but my parents frowned on Happy Days because it had too much "sexual innuendo" :D
