Lovely stuff. You cab=n see it's one of yours immediately.
Wow. You're really good.Quick question (which you're obviously under no obligation whatsoever to answer): do you prefer grayscale, subtle shades, or bright bursts of color?I'm just starting out and my collages haven't really had a theme so far. Do you think it's important that art that you have created has a defining feature which will allow others to identify it as yours?Sorry. That was two questions. You don't have to answer either.
Hi guys! Love what you are doing here. Simmilar to my work...The filoshophy I mean. Keepon the good stuff.Kisses from Greece.Elena K.
This is great!
So beautiful Paul! I love the scraps of text. I end up throwing away so much text after I cut out the images, but you made me realize that it can be used.
A1, is right...Wonderful!
Just what a bookworm like me needed! Lovely!
I love this one! Great composition and subtle colors.Twinnie Susan
Thanks guys...nom de guerre...I don't try and aim for a specific style. I have been collaging for years and years and lots of my collages are just in books-I paste up the pages like a scrap book. Some of my work is very little more than images I like that I have pasted in..others much more controlled and precise. I often paint, scratch, varnish tear and fold images, I like the distressed look and often have soaked old collages in water to peel of an image I wanted to reuse and paste it back somewhere else. I don't really mind if it gets damaged in the process. Over the last two or three years I have added a lot of watercolour glazes and blobs of colour..and I like that
