I remember those days too. My parents used to smoke but gave it up in their 50's. Nice to see Santa in the middle of Summer. I often wonder what he does around this time of year!
In Houston, smoking is banned from restaurants and public spaces, but I remember going to the Astrodome in the 1970s to watch baseball games with my family and by the end of the game, the whole place would be in a smoky fog. Times have changed and in this case, for the better.
Thanks everyone for your nice comments! I was really shocked recently to see so many young girls smoking in Europe. In Germany anyone can buy cigarettes from vending machines in the street.
