The presenter of the British version of Candid Camera in the 60's was a chap called Jonathan Routh who was also a naive painter and had an exhibition in the Portal Gallery just off Bond Street. All his paintings featured nuns doing various things like playing tennis, riding on bicycles etc. and when asked why he painted nuns all the time he it was because he couldn't draw legs and feet very well and the habits made it easier for him.
