Hey Fast Eyes, thrilled to see you here again!! I have a faint memory of classmates hyperventilating on purpose, but never saw the point myself so I didn't try.

I used to do this but only exhaling. I never inhaled.
How funny: I have the same pictures of the lungs from an Italian childrens encyclopedia from the 50'!
