Theme of the Week - Recycled Postcards
This week's theme is RECYCLED POSTCARDS. You can make whatever you want as long as the base of your collage is a recycled postcard. New or old, it doesn't matter as long it's a postcard. You can completely collage over it or let elements from the card show through. If you are interested in trading your creations, you can start a Yahoo photo album (it's free) or store them at the site of your choice. Michael and I are presently trading. Nu Clear Hope
Please give a hearty welcome to Dylan Hunt from Austin, Texas! He has been an active commentator on Scrapiteria, so it's really nice to see some of his work. What does Dylan have to say about collage?~a few words from the CHEF. I've been committing art ever since I was a little kid. I know the faces but not the names. I'm inspired by past and future artists everywhere. I try to be as free and natural as possible with this craft, just let things flow. Expect more tasty and thought provoking treats from my kitchen.

Hope
Please help me in welcoming scrappyboy from New York! Here's a short collage bio on him.
I have been a collagist for about 25 years or more. I am 43 years old and back in the day a serious punk rocker which actually started my whole collage world. Some of my favorite subjects are old hollywood, punk, new wave, gothic, art deco, art nouveau, the art & crafts movement, vintage childrens books, ephemera of all kinds and vintage photos of all kinds. I have one collagist i admire and that's a close friend, david king, (check out davidkingcollage.com) and of course Ray Johnson. I really don't have a particular style although i think the collage as a whole should be a combo of the original image and what has been pasted together and should tell some kind of story. I have always been inspired by the songs of The Cure, Marc Almond, Siouxsie and the Banshees, to name a few. I look forward to submitting lots of work that i hope is worthy of this great group.

From the Scrapatorium files. I made this one a couple of months ago when I found out about my little brother's heart failure. Hope and prayer definitely worked in our favor because he is doing fantastic. :-)
