Nothing to Wear

Neda, what is she doing with her hands? I think she is cutting out fabric to make something to wear! I always love your work!

Neda, I looked at some of the past work and I thought that I would always be able to pick out your work, but I didn't every time. It is different here. More direct and masculine. It is just a different Neda than the one I've come to love, but I can appreciate this one also. Maybe you are a bit more brutal here. I will keep coming back to see what you do here and to look at the rest too, of course. Very interesting!

The perfect uniform for a nudist camp counselor.

Different than your other work, but I really like it!

Neda - This is a truly original, disturbing, surrealistically dream-like collage. And I don't use "surrealistically" loosely but precisely. The white naked female, with her head enclosed in the blankets of a bed, where her (?) foot sticks out, can easily be imagined as dreaming whatever she's so INTENTLY and trance-like doing. And the ambiguity of what-- exactly--she is doing is also dream-like, as are the obscured outlines of bed and sleep.

Her leaning-into posture, her fixed black eyes, her pallidness and nakedness, the angularity of the work's composition, the mysterious crack at the bottom of the piece, all of it creates dark poetic evocations from the artist's unconcious to the viewer's.

If this is not your "usual" work, then give up your usual work!
